One A Day 216:365 Composition with linen thread and drain cover.

216:365 Composition with linen thread and drain cover. I made a curtain this morning then nipped out to get some milk. On my return I saw a piece of fabric on the road - A scrap of curtain had followed me out of the house.

One A Day 190:365 Composition with two types of lichen and tree stump.

190:365 Composition with two types of lichen and tree stump. Damp light rainy conditions make for good materials today. That particular green against the orange tones. A winning combo I reckon.

Damp lichen, fresh stump/ green blue on rusty orange/best combination.

One A Day 86:365 Composition with golfing tees and front lawn.

86:365 Composition with golfing tees and front lawn. I found some stray golf tees out the front of Mum and Dads house so I thought I might bend the rules and raid Dads golfing bag for more. Not adhering strictly to the #oneaday principles but I couldn't resist.

One A Day 65:365 Composition with sticks and an upturned bin.

65:365 Composition with sticks and an upturned bin. I thought it was steadily raining all through the night last night. But this morning realised it had just been lots of sticks and leaves falling on the tin roof in the breeze. Which was lucky because I'd left all the car windows open and the washing still on the line.

One A Day 22:365 Composition with scribbly gum bark circles.

22:365 Composition with scribbly gum bark circles. The gum trees are shedding their skin and on this foggy damp day the strips of bark littering the ground are all lovely and pliable. I was able to roll long strips into rounds and build a small structure at the start of the walking tracks at Govetts Leap. The foggy backdrop adding a lovely air of mystery. And that orange colour- delicious!

And this is one of the scribbly gums – sans bark.

One A Day 17:365

17:365 Composition with telegraph pole discs and road marking. All day yesterday they were working on the power lines on my street. No electricity ALL DAY LONG. In this heat! Is was tough. My meat defrosted and the milk went sour. Anyway I found one of these discs today ( and 'borrowed' the other two from the old poles. I couldn't resist. Is that bad?) What are they for anyway, anyone know?

One A Day 12:365

12:365 Composition with wet gum leaves and tree stump. It's easier to do this in the rain - long as it's not torrential. The colours in these wet leaves are so bright and varied and the contrast against the wood works well. Thing is I'm now quite damp and cold -warming my fingers up around a steaming mug of coffee. And this is summer....#patersononeaday #oneaday

Composition with wet gum leaves and tree stump.

It’s soooo much easier to do this in the rain – long as it’s not torrential of course. The colours in these wet leaves are bright and varied and the contrast against the black wood works well. Thing is this business about arranging leaves in a pleasing way takes quite some time and I’m now rather damp and cold, but back in doors warming my fingers up around a steaming mug of coffee.

This is summer, good grief.

One A Day 10/365

10/365 Composition with drying puddle. #oneaday #patersononeaday #imperfectcircle After a big rainfall two very big puddles form on a dirt road around the corner from our house. Harry looks for these puddles on our walks and takes great delight in standing in them to cool off. But today they were just mud. She will have to wait until it rains again.

After every big rainfall two very big puddles form on a dirt road around the corner from our house. Harry looks for these puddles on our walks and takes great delight in standing in them to cool off. But today they were just sticky thick mud. She will have to wait until it rains again.

And I don’t think that will be too long.
