Next project is a quirky little collaboration with the good people of the Garage Sale Trail. Not spilling any beans yet but painting this doily is the very beginning. @garagesaletrail #garagesaletrail #choosetoreuse

It’s deep winter up here in Blackheath and whilst I was away for a week in the desert, Chrissie my glamorous assistant was working hard in the studio making a new batch of warm orange Scrapcloth blanket cushions and they are DELICiOUS, every one of them. Will be getting delivered to @stationstreetstore on Thursday.

Our last evening watching Uluru turn from orange to red to dark purple then blackness. This view was looking over the desert from the sand dune across the road from the hotel. Tomorrow it’ll be back to the real world.

Last night as the full moon rose over the desert with Uluru on the horizon and some traditional fire making the moon glow red we had a wonderful dinner on a sand dune made with local food by indigenous chefs. A bit romantic all in all. Happy belated birthday @cannylass67

Yesterday’s walk around the base of Uluru was much more popular that the climb, I’m pleased to report. And next year that climb will be banned for good. The Anangu people have been very patient but finally their wishes will be respected.

Having a wee sit down in the shade and a strong cuppa from the trusty thermos after our 3 hour walk around the base of Uluru. It was hot and dry and to be honest I really need a good lie down now.
