3:14 Yesterday's haul from the wind swept beach at the Lighthouse. This lot filled a big green plastic rope handled bucket that I also found down there. We had much fun collecting all this treasure. Not sure how much of it will come home with me though.

The view across the Loch at 9.15 am. After a night of rain the waterfalls are a thunderin'. Couldn't let that view go to waste so I had my morning cuppa standing at the window painting.

2:14 Day two of my mini One a day on Skye project. This row of deliciously coloured heavyweight battered plastic detritus has been collected from the high tide rocky shoreline below the house by other people and left in a jar in the bathroom for me to re-discover. Inspired, I searched high and low yesterday on the beach for more but could find only mounds of seaweed, discarded rope, a few plastic bottles and a dead baby seal.

One of my absolute favourite holiday past times is to paint postcards of the view on bits of found cardboard and send them off to friends. This view from the kitchen window is the first of hopefully, many.
