One A Day 205:365 Composition with rusty broken up heron and upturned tin bath.

205:365 Composition with rusty broken up heron and upturned tin bath. At my friends Helen and lins house running a workshop today. Walking round their garden I spotted a broken rusty bird in the hedge. They tell me that they found it in a back street in Newtown. A bird that's been round the houses.

One A Day 203:365 Composition with outdoor steel seat, polystyrene and ocean view.

203:365 Composition with outdoor steel seat, polystyrene and ocean view. Took the dog down along the coast walk this morning for a quick runaround on the rocks and a paddle in the surf. Officially it's illegal to take dogs to the beach round here but now and again off season I reckon it's ok. Found a surprisingly clean shoreline with only 1 bit of litter - a piece of polystyrene noodle. Made a nice change #Oneaday #patersononeaday #ephemeralartjourneysdaily #oneadayhaiku Clean beach today/One piece of polystyrene / is all I could find.

One A Day 200:365 Composition with grit and gravel.

200:365 Composition with grit and gravel. I went for a walk today and came home empty handed probably because I just knew that I had to make something with yesterday's delivery of road base and concrete dust that will shortly all be spread over our front yard. So here we are. Heavy stuff when piled up in wheelbarrows but looking delicate and jewel like right now.

One A Day 199:365 Composition with burnt bush and burnt out car.

199:365 Composition with burnt bush and burnt out car. Back to yesterday's exciting find. Not sure when the car was set alight but the plants nearby haven't started any new growth yet so it wasn't that long ago I guess. These little petrified sticks look like a scared family running away from the scene of the crime.

One A Day 198:365 Composition with burnt out car parts.

198:365 Composition with burnt out car parts. It's rather exciting when you come across unexpected treasure on a normal day kind of dogwalk. I went down a side track just to see where it went and came across a very burn out car with all sorts of excellent twisted rusty charcoally bounty. I'll be visiting this spot again - it's so visually rich. A bit spooky though.

One A Day 197:365 Composition with protea stalks and last years spent flower heads.

197:365 Composition with protea stalks and last years spent flower heads. Many people grow proteas up here it seems. Every other house has a mature rangy protea bush in flower in their front garden. So I planted one in ours yesterday too. I know they aren't strictly a native plant but they might as well be. I love them.

Cold hands in dark soil/Planting protea, like me/Almost a native.

One A Day 196:365 Composition with broken TV antennae.

196:365 Composition with broken TV antennae. This was in our garden. Pushed down from our roof from that big tree that fell through the bedroom a couple of weeks ago. In side the tubes are coated in a nice gold colour but I couldn't open them to show that because the rules for this #oneaday lark are that you use no tools. Pretty exciting though finding gold inside old bits of ancient antennae....We won't be replacing it as a new one costs $1000.!Who wants to watch TV anymore anyway? Not me its all rubbish.

The old TV antennae was on the ground. Pushed down from our roof from that big tree that fell through the bedroom a couple of weeks ago. Inside the grubby aluminium tubes are coated in a nice yellow gold but I couldn’t open them to show that because the rules for this #oneaday  lark are that you use no tools.
